Brace yourself for a mind blowing trip through exercises on character development, storytelling, and improvisation techniques. Present your ideas and hone your skill through practice.
Ray Muñoz received his BFA in Theater from Adelphi University and attended The Williamstown Theater Festival. Since then he's been performing, writing, and developing shows in New York City...one of which, The NYC, garnered the Friday night spot at The Peoples Improv Theater for three years.
WORKSHOP with NATURE THEATER OF OKLAHOMA
Led by Kelly Copper and Pavol Liska
Saturdays, 3-5pm, Oct 20 - Nov 17 (5 sessions)
Fee: $50
Directors of the internationally reknowned Nature Theater of Oklahoma, Pavol Liska and Kelly Copper, work closely with the participants and help them create their own unique short theater compositions which could eventually develop into full length pieces. Enrollment is limited to 15 participants. There will be an informal public showing of the work at the end of the workshop.

Led by Michael Hickey
Saturdays, 3-5pm, December 1-15 (3 sessions)
Fee: $30
Michael Hickey, DTA's resident rock and folk composer/musician who created the music and lyrics for CLEMSON COUNTY, SC and JO MARCH, will collaborate with aspiring young songwriters to develop their own lyrics for a piece of music. Come with a tune you want to work with, either of your own composition, or borrowed from popular music. Musicians and non-musicians both welcome.
Michael Hickey has been playing guitar and writing music for over 20 years, and has written music collaboratively in a wide variety of styles.
OUR POLICIES- Payment in full is due by first class. Payment can be made online by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Paypal, or at the first class by cash or check.
- Downtown Art reserves the right to cancel any class which does not meet minimum enrollment.
- We strongly encourage full attendance. There is no pro-rating for missed classes. No make-up classes are offered. No trial classes or observations are permitted.
- Students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers/dance shoes. Skirts are acceptable only with shorts underneath.
- Registrants will receive confirmation by email with dates, times, procedures and days off, if applicable.
